Thanks for your input! I removed that 'chi2_square_stat' variable and used val[0] instead which is appropriate. There is no target class here. The test is about if parent answering survey question is correlated with the grade (which grade students are in: 2nd grade or 5th grade) of the students. The numbers is the contingency table represents the count of the people not the marks of the students.
